Summer Recap (part 3)

Our first two week session of swim lessons started in mid-July - Karly at 11:30 a.m. and Nolan at noon.  He was not interested in participating, but I finally managed to "persuade" him with the promise of an ice cream treat at the end of the week.  After lessons, we had lots of fun hanging out at the pool with Karly's friends Jordan and Lizzie and their moms and siblings.  Karly was already an old pro with the diving board,

while Nolan desperately wanted to join her.

Luckily he seemed to get it that he still couldn't swim well enough yet.  That didn't stop him from dreaming though.

We went to a special free day at the Baltimore Children's Museum with Lizzie and her family.  It was a super hot and humid day and pretty crowded obviously due to the "free" aspect, but we still managed to have a great time.  Not too many great pics though.

Very excited to wear the borrowed crocs for the water play.

We stayed the whole day at the museum so of course ran into traffic on the way home.  I realized we were pretty close to Annapolis so we took a little detour and found out we had perfect timing to visit with my cousins who had just arrived from out of town.

They were in town for our family reunion which took place the next day.  Another ridiculously hot and humid day.  We enjoyed an awesome crab feast, visited with family,

and the kids figured out a way to keep cool.

Swimming was fun until she got stung by a jellyfish.

More family visiting and pictures the next day in Annapolis

while we kept the kids busy scrubbing the floors (their idea, really!).
