Spring Break part 2

On Tuesday we went to Annapolis for a fun, and long overdue, cousin get-together.  We had a great time catching up, and the 2nd generation cousins all had fun playing together. Karly and I were especially excited to finally meet and play with baby Annabelle.  She is the cutest and really reminds us of Jenny as a baby.

Nolan and Delaney were really cute together,

and Karly and Mackenize really hit it off too.  They're accounting - that's the pile of dandelions they picked from Grandpa's yard, at the going rate of $.01 per dandelion.

On Wednesday I got my little sanity break as the kids went to a morning camp session at the Little Gym, and Karly had a birthday party that evening.

Thursday I found a tick on Karly's neck - UGH!  I had trouble removing it and almost had to take her in to the doctor, but I finally got it.  It was much bigger than a deer tick (the Lyme disease carrier), so I wasn't overly concerned.  This is the third one I've found on Karly in the past year or so, as well as the one on me recently, so it's becoming a bit too familiar.  Karly's friend Jordan came over that afternoon for a sleepover (first non-neighborhood sleepover), and they had soccer practice that evening.

Friday was spent trying to get through the day with an overly-tired, post-sleepover Karly.  I enforced a "rest" time in the afternoon, during which she spent the entire 45 minutes sobbing hysterically, alternating between, "I missss Blackieeee!!!!!!" and "I want to get uppppp!!!!"  Yeah, it was real restful.

That afternoon we tried to go to Kids N Motion, but we got there only to find out they were completely full already.  We then went to IKEA only to find out that Karly is now too tall for the play area!  I swear it wasn't that long ago that we were there and she didn't even seem all that close to the max height, and suddenly she is well over the line!  Luckily (and surprisingly) Nolan still wanted to play, so she and I had some ice cream (her) and coffee (me) while he played.  Afterward, I bought an early dinner for him there and then we headed home, with a library stop on the way, at which point Nolan's stomach pains started.
