Out with the old

Last weekend was busy with my consignment sale activities.  I was actually more organized than usual and had been working on preparing and tagging stuff for a week or two ahead of time rather than the usual 2 days beforehand.  I had A LOT to sell.  This was my biggest load so far - I took close to 200 items, mostly clothes!  That's ridiculous to even have that much stuff, isn't it?  I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm sure there will still be plenty more for next year's sale.  The kids keep outgrowing stuff, what can I say?

Yikes (this is some of it)!

Friday morning I dropped my things off at the sale, then headed over to another sale at Nolan's school.  I was good and only bought a few pair of pants for him.  I needed some size 3's as I realized the 4's I had been buying were probably still going to be too big for now.

"Mr. Larry King" showing off his suspender pants - ha!

My great find was a bag of zhu-zhu pets and accessories for $10, worth about $70 new.  I hate all those crappy plastic over-marketed toys, especially since Karly has never played with toys much, but she is currently really into these.  I'm sure the interest will last all of two weeks or so, but I couldn't resist for that price.

That night I got to go to the consignor pre-sale shopping time at the place where I was selling my things.  I always look forward to and thoroughly enjoy the two hours of alone time browsing around for great deals.  I think I did well again not getting carried away with buying too much.  I got lightweight jackets for both kids, and a winter coat for Nolan.  A couple dresses for Karly and some sweaters for both.  My most exciting find was an organizer for the car that hangs on the back of the front seat.  I love organizing gear!!  And I've been wanting one of these for awhile.  I found it in the baby gear section with the diaper changing stuff!  What I was doing looking there, I have no idea!

Anyway, after the sale, I always have the stuff that doesn't sell returned to me because I feel the need to know how much and which things sold (I know, just let it go!).  But, I was pretty happy that only about 1/4 of the things came back.
