Clever boy

He's not too excited about starting school next week.  We went to the open house today to meet his teachers and check out his classroom.  Before we went this morning I was telling him about it and trying to get him psyched up for it.
Me: We're going to go see your new school today!!
N: I don't want to go to school.  I want to stay home and play with you.
Me:  We'll still play, but sometimes Mama needs a break.
N:  Then YOU go to school!

Here's my other story for the day.  The background is that "Go Dog Go" is one of his favorite books and we've read it so many times he has a lot of it memorized.  One of the pages says "Two big dogs going up.  One little dog going down."  So this morning I was getting a drink for him and I said, "One yogurt drink, coming right up."  He paused for a second and then smiled and said, "And two yogurts drinks going down!"   Isn't he clever? :)


After the open house we had a nice "mommy/son" lunch at "Vah-Donald's", as he calls it, then dropped off some forms at the dr. office, and then onto the library, where he picked many books and his favorite Max and Ruby DVD, which he is now enjoying.
