Organizing the kids' rooms

One of the other big organizing projects we undertook earlier this year was the kids bedrooms.  Shortly after Christmas we finally made the big change to put the kids in separate rooms.  They had been together ever since we lived in the townhouse and moved baby Nolan out of our room, since we only had 2 bedrooms at that time.  Even though we have plenty of space at this house, Karly had still wanted him in her room.  Guess it's a sign of the times that she was finally ready for her own space.

Karly's new room - view from the door.  We moved Nolan's bed out and rearranged the room.  She picked out the new lamp with the pink lampshade.

She also got the new nightstand,

and this new shelf.

We went through the toys in the "train" room and got rid of some things, moved some to the playroom, and a few others are stored on the top shelf of Nolan's closet.

Nolan's new room - view from the door.  The dresser was moved here from Karly's room.

He still fits in that little bed!

Nolan got this new bookshelf.

I'm happy with how both rooms turned out in terms of the organization and layout.  Obviously they still need some decor on the walls, and we really need a new paint color on Nolan's walls.
