Can't believe it's already been a week since I last posted. Lets' see...
Last Friday I finally took Nolan to the doctor for the congestion he didn't seem to be able to shake. He had an ear infection starting, so she gave him an antibiotic and also increased the dosage on his pulmicort to try and help with his shortness of breath. He wasn't actively wheezing when we were there, so that was good. By Monday he was MUCH better - congestion- and behavior-wise!
Saturday was spent cleaning and preparing for Karly's party on Sunday. Karly went to Girl Scout's Thinking Day in the evening and did a great job with her Madagascar flag.
The big party was Sunday!
Spent the next couple days recovering from the party and getting the house back in order. Also baked (zucchini) brownies and took those for girl scout snack on Monday.
Yesterday morning I was rushing to get dressed and get Nolan out the door to school, when I noticed a black spot on my chest. Upon closer examination realized it was a tick! EWWW! I totally freaked and yanked the thing off with some tweezers, then panicked more when I thought I didn't get the whole thing out. In my panicky state, I managed to get Nolan to school (without his backpack or lunchbox - argh!) and got a doctor's appointment right away. She assured me it was probably fine, but gave me a one dose antibiotic prescription just to be on the safe side. Oh, and I figure I must have gotten it when I was outside the day before in our yard for exactly one minute, wearing long sleeves, long pants, and a WINTER COAT! Who gets a tick in the middle of freakin' winter?!
