Artists and Authors Night
Last Thursday evening after soccer practice we went to Artists and Authors night at Karly's school, a chance for the kids to show off the work they've done throughout the year. As she was happily showing us artwork, stories, and journal entries, we started to realize that nearly everything was in some state of incompletion. It was kind of funny at the end of the evening when I realized how many times she had said, "Well, I didn't have enough time to finish this." She was so sincere about it, and then she would always have some long and involved explanation as to why she didn't have time to finish whatever it was.
