He has been questioning the details and logistics of Santa and his magic...
N: "Can Santa fly without all the Rudolphs?"
Me: "Well, no, I guess not."
N: "Well then Santa isn't really magic because if you are magic then you can do anything."
The other day when I picked him up from preschool, he couldn't wait to tell me about how his teacher had a hot glue gun and used it to glue feathers on some project they did. He very earnestly told me, "It's very hot and dangerous and only grown-ups can use it. It can burn people and shoot people."
On a somewhat related note, he loves it when we turn on the fire and likes to just sit there and stare at the flames.
I can't believe it, but the cough he had for about 6 weeks has actually gone away for the most part. I think this is the farthest we've ever made it into the fall/winter without any significant illnesses.
