Cirque du Soleil - OVO

I was super-excited to go see Cirque du Soleil - Ovo last Thursday.  The tickets are ridiculously expensive, but we splurged (even with the cheapest tickets possible) and it was totally worth it.  I was hesitant about taking the kids, but it worked out and they really enjoyed it.  My parents were able to join us also, and they loved it as well.  Here we are waiting to go in and find our seats.

I oh-so-carefully planned ahead and had all sorts of snacks and even drinks stashed in my pockets and purse so we wouldn't have to buy the outrageously priced concession food.  Of course, the minute you walk through the gate you have to pass by all the food stands.  The begging began instantaneously.  Next thing I know Marco is in line buying a ($5!!) hot dog, plus popcorn for Karly.

The princess is happy.

Two minutes later, the other one realized what was going on and had to have his own $5 hotdog.  Ok, seriously, I have never seen that kid devour anything so quickly and with such enthusiasm in his entire life.  He is the S-L-O-W-E-S-T eater ever, but I'll be darned if he didn't down that giant hot dog in five minutes flat.

Look at him attacking!

Really, my mommy hasn't fed me in days.

Eagerly waiting for the show to start.

  1. Looks fun. I've been wanting to see that for years. I'll have to make the splurge next year.
